Blues News You Can Use!
March Already!
Details will be available soon for the Twilight Blues Series Ozark Blues Society will be kicking off on April 20th in conjunction with our annual meeting. It will also be a membership drive as we offer the option to not only enjoy a fun event, but for fans of the Blues to become voting members in in OBS as we strive to "Keep the Blues Alive" in Northwest Arkansas. We currently have our board's nominating committee working on nominations for the Vice President and Treasurer positions. We also have a vacancy with one year remaining on the term for the position of secretary. If you have ideas for potential nominees, please email Liz Lottmann to share them. The board nominating committee will wrap up their work by March 23rd. A two week period where we accept nominations from "the floor" (current members) then opens. The final list of nominees will be announced two weeks before the elections. Please make plans to join us for our April 20th event!

Going forward, please keep an eye on the right hand column as we are continuing to add resources for access to web based options for blues music and history. Modern internet access offers us such a wonderful variety of live and recorded video, radio programs and podcasts, written articles, series, and archived pieces to explore. Do you know of a Blues history resource that we haven't shared? Please email your ideas to Sandy at the link below.

Additionally, perhaps you are not seeing your favorite blues artist or venue listed in our calendar? We compile listings from local community calendars for our partner artists and venues throughout the area. Remember, artists and fans alike may send us blues event listings that may not appear in the community calendars. Just email SANDY to share
listings that include performances occurring from next weekend through the following weekend.
It's always important to say, this is YOUR newsletter! Please send questions, information, feedback, and suggestions our way. Just click below to email Sandy.
We appreciate our readers and want
to see your ideas included!
