Blues News You Can Use!
Resolutions
As we enter the weekend, it is undeniable...we are staring 2024 in the face! As you make your plans, whether they be a party on the town or a quiet night at home, many of us will be at least toying with thoughts of resolutions. I tend to hold any resolutions I make (or consider) mostly to myself. Often my New Year's "resolutions" are nothing more than a commitment to revive better health habits that I let slip away over the holidays. As 2024 begins, that is once more where I will start. I will also be reevaluating projects and goals as I value organization and find greater peace when I am following a plan. How about all you readers out there? Do you seek to use the celebration of a new year beginning to tweek your personal life goals, or is it just one more day on the calendar?
You have been hearing about it for awhile now...but if you haven't yet gotten your tickets for the OBS Bound for Beale Fundraiser, it is next Sunday, January 7th! It certainly will be an exciting evening with amazing music from our winners and encore performances from past winners! Tickets are available through George's Majestic's Ticketing Link HERE  Please come out and join us! Check out the article below for more information.

And, as always, don't miss the awesome weekly blues history article from Jimbo "Big Train" Madson.
Also be sure and keep an eye on our calendar. Perhaps you are not seeing your favorite blues artist or venue listed in our calendar? We compile listings from local community calendars for our partner artists and venues throughout the area. Remember, artists and fans alike may send us blues event listings that may not appear in the community calendars. Just email SANDY to share
listings that include performances occurring from next weekend through the following weekend.
It's always important to say, this is YOUR newsletter! Please send questions, information, feedback, and suggestions our way. Just click below to email Sandy.
We appreciate our readers and want
to see your ideas included!

NEXT SUNDAY!
Bound for Beale
IBC Fundraiser
Our annual IBC Fundraiser is a little over a week away! Please consider purchasing a ticket and adding your support to the funding used by Ozark Blues Society to send our Blues Challenge winner to Memphis to represent Northwest Arkansas.
And in addition to supporting a great program, you get to enjoy some awesome music!
Our fundraiser directly funds the sponsorship award we offer as well as offers the band a chance to do perform their IBC set for a crowd prior to heading to Memphis.
We value the support of our members and readers. Please join us on Sunday, January 7, 2024. This year we will be holding our "Bound for Beale" Fundraiser in Fayetteville
at George's Majestic Lounge.
