Holiday Wishes to All!
The Ozark Blues Society Board of Directors wishes to send our best wishes for a joyful holiday to all our readers and supporters. May you find peace and beauty in the season as you gather with your friends and family this time of the year.
The biggest thing on our calendar is coming up fast. The OBS Bound for Beale Fundraiser is Sunday, January 7th! Have you gotten your tickets yet?
It certainly will be an exciting evening with amazing music from our
winners and encore performances from past winners! Tickets are available through George's Majestic's Ticketing Link HERE  Please come out and join us! Check out the article below for more information.

And, as always, don't miss the awesome weekly blues history article from Jimbo "Big Train" Madson.
Also be sure and keep an eye on our calendar. Perhaps you are not seeing your favorite blues artist or venue listed in our calendar? We compile listings from local community calendars for our partner artists and venues throughout the area. Remember, artists and fans alike may send us blues event listings that may not appear in the community calendars. Just email SANDY to share
listings that include performances occurring from next weekend through the following weekend.
It's always important to say, this is YOUR newsletter! Please send questions, information, feedback, and suggestions our way. Just click below to email Sandy.
We appreciate our readers and want
to see your ideas included!

Bound for Beale
IBC Fundraiser
We are quickly entering the holiday rush time of the year! Ozark Blues Society each year hosts a fundraiser to help cover the cost of the sponsorship we offer the winner of our annual Blues Challenge.
The date we choose each year is a complex mix of the availability of our winning band to perform, venue availability, and working around the dates set for the International Blues Challenge. As always, we seek to schedule the fundraiser prior to the International Blues Challenge. Our fundraiser directly funds the sponsorship award we offer as well as offers the band a chance to do perform their IBC set for a crowd prior to heading to Memphis.
We value the support of our members and readers. Please mark your calendars to join us on Sunday, January 7, 2024. This year we will be holding our "Bound for Beale" Fundraiser in Fayetteville at George's Majestic Lounge. You can purchase tickets at GEORGE'S MAJESTIC LOUNGE WEBSITE
Congratulations
to our Walton Arts Center Ticket Giveaway Winner!
We want to congratulate our latest winner, Jimmy Stell! He won the pair of tickets to the Squirrel Nut Zippers Christmas Caravan performance
at the Walton Arts Center this
past week. Once again we wish
to thank the Walton Arts Center's partnering with Ozark Blues
Society in support of Blues, Jazz,
and other live music genres.

This Week's Quote

"The whole of life itself expresses the blues.
That's why I always say the blues are the true facts of life expressed in words and song, inspiration,
feeling and understanding. The blues can be about anything pertaining to the facts of life. The blues call on God as much as a spiritual song do."

Willie Dixon
