Blues News You Can Use!
 It's TIME!
Time for what you may be asking. Well, obviously for Razorback fans it is the weekend of the first kickoff (at War Memorial), but beyond that, today is a big day for blues artists AND blues fans! Today is the first day for regional blues artists to sign up for our October 14th Blues Challenge at the Meteor Guitar Gallery in Bentonville. It may just be sign up starting, but it is a big first step for any artist wanting to win their way to Beale Street for the International Blues Challenge in January 2024. Read on below or visit OUR WEBSITE for all the needed information. The other time element for this weekend is that tomorrow is the LAST DAY to enter the ticket giveaways (below) for a pair of tickets to a couple hot Walton Arts Center Shows. If you haven't entered yet, it's not too late! Do it now so you don't miss out on your chance to get lucky! Read on below for more information on how to enter!
Returning this week are the articles about our upcoming Blues Challenge and the Walton Arts Center ticket giveaway. As noted above, registration for our Blues Challenge is open beginning today, September 1st, and runs until September 30th. If you are, or know, a blues musician within 250 miles of Bentonville, you can find
the information you need as well as the registration link on our website. Just a reminder, to register to compete in the OBS Blues Challenge, at least one band member must be a member of Ozark Blues Society.

Also returning is the weekly Blues History feature from Big Train and the Loco Motives. Read on below for more information and to access these great blues history presentations.
Perhaps you are not seeing your favorite blues artist or venue listed in our calendar? We compile listings from local community calendars for our partner artists and venues throughout the area. Remember, artists and fans alike may send us blues event listings that may not appear in the community calendars. Just email SANDY to share
listings that include performances occurring from next weekend through the following weekend.
It's always important to say, this is YOUR newsletter! Please send questions, information, feedback, and suggestions our way. Just click below to email Sandy.
We appreciate our readers and want
to see your ideas included!
