Blue Largo :: SING YOUR OWN SONG
Blue Largo was formed by guitarist Eric Lieberman and vocalist Alicia Aragon in 1999. Eric recruited his old music partner, saxophonist Jonny Viau from as far back as 1982, when they were both sidemen in the King Biscuit Blues Band, and together with pianist Sue Palmer, drummer Phil Rowley, bassist Roger Daschle and baritone sax man Troy Jennings, the band released its debut album, What A Day! produced by Rick Holmstrom in the year 2000.

The band went through a few personnel changes, and with piano virtuoso, Carl Sonny Leyland and bassist Chris Crepps on board, released its second album, Still In Love With You, in 2002. ... Find more details about this release

Mississippi Bigfoot :: POPULATION UNKNOWN
Mississippi Bigfoot was formed in May of 2015 after a show at Ground Zero in Clarksdale, MS. Their debut, Population Unknown, recorded at
the legendary Ardent Studios in Memphis, TN, is a wild ride, with a wide variety of blues-infused delights from the Crossroads of Mississippi to the juke joints in Memphis and down to Nawlins for a spaceship ride through the Quarter. The vocals are dynamic and intense and the guitars are a smooth blend of Memphis soul and Texas spice. Each song is meant to send you on a journey.

The track “Wag The Dog” has a taste of rockabilly and punk while “Burn That Woman Down” gives you that twang and drive of a Nashville session. ...Find more about this release

The Talkin'Blues Podcast with Mako Funasaka
Episode 2: Shakura S'Aida

Intro from Mako Funasaka:
Shakura S'Aida is a singer, actor, entertainer, producer, mom and many, many other things. I first worked with Shakura, when Bruce Greenaway and I shot a video of her performing at the Maples Blues Awards back in 2009. Since then, I've had the privilege of doing a number of videos with her and her wondeful band to promote her last two recordings. Shakura is someone who I deeply respect as an artist and more importantly, as a very good friend who continually inspires me. This interview took place in May of 2015. Music: "Time" by Shakura S'Aida. Special thanks to Gary Vaughan and Bruce Greenaway.
