Lisa Mills :: I'M CHANGING
I'm Changing, was produced by Mobile, Alabama-based, Mississippi native, blues, roots and gospel singer, guitarist Lisa Mills along with bassist Ian Jennings. Mills exemplifies the deeply embedded Southern musical influences that come together in unpredictable ways on I'm Changing with this follow-up to her internationally praised 2010 release Tempered in Fire. From bluesy, to breathy to edgy, reviews call her one of the best singer/songwriters on the scene today.
Recorded primarily at Back Door Studios in Mobile, the album showcases Mills and an impressive cast of musicians including Rick Hirsch and drummer T.K Lively of Wet Willie fame, as well as guitarist Corky Hughes (Bo Diddley, Black Oak Arkansas) and drummer John Milham. Bassist Ian Jennings has a host of world-class recording credentials including work on albums with Jeff Beck, Van Morrison and Tom Jones. Find more details about this release

We have a phenomenal new talent for you this week. He calls himself Fantastic Negrito. He started out sounding like Prince, then had a horrible car accident, recovery, became a family man and farmer, then launched into a new life as a street performer. Rediscovered as a dynamic highly original performer. He is taking off! And the BluesMobile has got him.
The downs and ups and ups and ups of Fantastic Negrito. Next time in the Bluesmobile.
