We hope everyone is making the best of the strange weather everyone has seemed to have been having and everyone is staying safe! But since it's still time to work here's just a few industry news items since our last newsletter we wanted to make sure you hadn't missed!  
    
Over the last several weeks in the A&R world, there are a few changes to report as always. After over eight years at the helm of the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM), Rich Bengloff will be stepping down as President this summer. Vice President Molly Neuman will serve as Acting President until the organization's search for a new president is complete. Susanne Daniels exits as MTV Programming Head, a post she has held since 2012 and is reported to be headed to YouTube. Chris McCarthy has been named GM of VH1 and will oversee all business functions for the Viacom network replacing Tom Calderone who has stepped down as President of VH1 after seven years. Kobalt has signed a publishing deal with UK's F Block Music Studios. SFX Entertainment appoints Greg Consiglio as President/CEO of Beatport. Robert Ashcroft has been named CEO of the new pan-EU licensing hub jointly run by PRS For Music (UK), GEMA (Germany) and STIM (Sweden). A&R veteran and former VP of A&R at Warner Music Nashville, Carole-Ann Mobley has launched CAM Creative Services to meet the artist development needs of indie and emerging artists in the Nashville area. Interscope is opening a new office in Nashville and has hired A&R rock veteran Kevin Williamson. The Black Eyed Peas have a new manager, Scooter Braun who also manages Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Carly Rae Jepsen and other notable artists. Sony Music Entertainment Australia has appointed Ryan Wilson as Director, Electronic Music. Warner Bros. has also had some significant activity with the hiring of three new A&R staffers; Jon Chen, Quinn Coleman, and Carlos Cancela have all been promoted within the A&R Department along with Cheryl Jenets who is now Director Production Operations at Warner Bros. Over at Epic, Jermain Pegues joins the A&R Department while Sha Money, Jeff Juin, and Isaac Heyman exit the Department. Also within the Sony Label Group, Gary Overton exits Sony Nashville while Adam Fujiki exits Sony Canada. Sony Nashville has also named Randy Goodman as Chairman/CEO taking over from Gary Overton and Ken Robold and Steve Hodges have been named EVPs. Audio Network has appointed Chris Blakeston as CEO. Randi Olsen has been promoted to SVP, Income Tracking and Analytics at Universal Music Publishing Group. BMG acquired Peter Stack's company Union Square Music several months ago and has now named Stack as EVP of Global Catalogue Recordings.

IES - the Indie Entertainment Summit, the global Music & Entertainment Conference & Festival is happening August 5-8 in the NoHo Arts District in LA.
