Now before you start worrying that
I am out flying and stuck somewhere, let me reassure you I am instead envisioning the racers gathering and approaching the starting gates at Oaklawn or a similar horse race track. Why is such a thought on my mind? Well...in just one week there will be a gathering...that precedes a sendoff...that precedes a Challenge that is as high energy as a horse race! What is this timeline I am speaking of you ask? Well, it's the run up to IBC week!
First up we will gather for our Bound For Beale IBC Fundraiser coming up on Saturday, January 14th. Even though that is just over a week away, it feels like a countdown for the Ozark Blues Society Board of Directors and I bet The Downtown Livewires are feeling the same imminence. Don't miss your chance

the ticket link. Just about a week after we gather in Bentonville, the Downtown Livewires will be heading to Memphis for The International Blues Challenge!
The "Starting gun" for the challenge
is first night of Quarterfinals on Beale Street. And what a race it is with
three nights of competition in the clubs leading to Saturday's finals held
at the Orpheum Theater. Since I won't
