ASHTANGA VINYASA KRAMA WITH JEFF TIEBOUT
Wednesday, 9/9 and 10/21, 4:15 - 5:30 pm
The traditional asana flow of Ashtanga can be seen as a way of organizing all the hundreds of asanas into a workable whole. The Ashtanga sequences give us a blueprint of how to organize Asana so we can intelligently move through the various families and groups of Asana and integrate them into a workable practice. In our class we’ll bring in other Asana from the families of Asana into the flow of Ashtanga’s primary series. By doing this we can explore Asana with in the wisdom of Ashtanga Vinyasa practice.
THE YOGA OF RELATIONSHIP WITH ANNA PITTMAN
Thursday, 9/17, 9:45 - 11:15 am and Friday, October 30, 2:00 - 3:30 pm
Join Anna for a slow series of Psoas release exercise and a short meditation before diving into one inquiry per class on meeting your edge, with stability and ease, in relationship.
Please stay tuned for other guest teachers. Hopefully, we can continue to add to this list.
|KIRTAN with Bhakti Kulani|
|Saturday, September 26 • 7:30 - 9:30 pm, $12|
Bhakti Kulani Our name translates loosely to "devotional community" although the Sanskrit carries a much deeper, richer meaning. We practice what has come to be know as "Universal Kirtan" which is a form of call-and-response singing that draws on as many spiritual traditions as we can gather into our universe of music and spiritual practice. As "kirtan" it draws and expands upon the historical South Asian tradition of singing the divine names of Love as a spiritual practice and as "bhakti" it is considered a vital element of the ancient discipline of yoga designed to open our hearts to divine grace. When we sing and dance in community the inherent energy and joy in the music is multiplied many times over. Jai Love!! Victory to Love.
