Twice a month on Thursdays, a Gentle Pool Yoga class will be held in the Clay Corner Inn pool for those working on balance, joint and muscular challenges. Open to all levels, will be a gentle yoga class.

We plan to offer one Kids Yoga Class per month. Age range 5 - 10. First class is October 17th from 12:00 to 1:00 pm with Leia Jones. $10 per little yogi
Monday and Tuesday, August 10 - 11 we will be coating the parking lot and re-stripping the spaces. Please have your cars moved out by late Sunday night or Monday by 7am and park in the middle school lot or Church St. lot those days. We will reopen as fast as possible.
Please vacate the lot so we do not get into a towing situation.
We are working with both the Blacksburg and Christiansburg Aquatic Centers to offer an Indoor Paddle Board Yoga Class a few times per month this fall/winter. Stay tuned for more details!
We are excited to host space for Kombucha and Wheatgrass from Living Beauty Health Drinks, home made in Blacksburg. Organic ingredients and materials. Donation only, cash or checks. More details coming soon!

We will focus on the Hot Yoga Series and Vinyasa. We will cover asana, anatomy, philosophy, pranayama, meditation, yogic lifestyle and guest teachers from Jivamukti, Dharma, Ashtanga included over the course. We will touch on Restorative Yoga as well. We will bring in guest teachers for anatomy and philosophy.

*In Balance Yogini, Sarah Reichenbach is returning from her Peace Fellowship in Bosnia. She would like to host a donations class to fundraise for the women in Bosnia. These women weave carpets to earn a living and their space was destroyed by flooding last year and is in desperate need of repairs. All donations will benefit this organization. Jeanmarie Paolillo is a teacher, teacher trainer and mentor at Yoga Works in New York City. She leads trainings and workshops on asana, the philosophy of yoga, meditation and mindfulness, and the energetic body internationally. The fundamental purpose of yoga for Jeanmarie is learning to be present in the moment. She lives in the passionate belief that all things in life are possible and that manifestation requires an understanding that everything is the culmination of our thoughts. The journey of yoga leads the practitioner to a place of awareness regarding the life they are creating so they can consciously create their lives - as evidenced by her own leap from the corporate world after 20 years. Jeanmarie has been featured in Natural Health Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Y oga Journal and has appeared on W eddings.com and the CBS Morning Show. |The Montgomery County Christmas Store is having an "Undies Drive" to collect new underwear in all sizes for children and teens (2T - XL Teens). The goal is to provide 5 pairs of undies for children that qualify to shop at the Christmas Store in December. We need to collect 10,000 pairs of underwear for boys and girls!|
In Balance Yoga will be part of the collection effort. Bring in 10 or 100 pairs of new undies - every pair will make a difference!

In this 2.5 hour workshop we will use the humorous and timeless myths of two legendary sages to inspire a rhythmic and playful Lotus-Inspired Flow sequence, incorporating interesting side plank variations that build to Visvamitrasana. This complex pose is accessible to all levels with modifications and non-attachment to the end product.
