Letter from Mallory

I have always had a passion for learning and the need to create. From the time I was a little girl, I've written poems and stories, used the paint from paint-by-numbers kits to paint my own pictures and designed and drew my own creations for my paper dolls to wear.
As I grew older, I took life drawing classes in college, and later dabbled in tole and ceramic painting and decoupage. I also started painting in oils and acrylics.

Eventually, I began to look at the romance novels I'd read all my life and wondered if I could write like my favorite authors. So I took writing classes, discovered and joined Romance Writers of America and after a lot of struggle and study, finally finished my first novel. Since then, I've written close to 50 novels, 38 of them for Harlequin Intrigue.

Of all the creative endeavors I've tried, nothing has been as satisfying as writing. And although I continue to enjoy painting, drawing, designing and creating things like greeting cards, jewelry, decorative boxes and other pretty items, I still love writing the most.

I just finished a Christmas novella for Tule Publishing, which will be released October 22, 2015 and a chapter in a writing book, also published by Tule. The writing book was released in July. You can find it on Amazon and other electronic platforms, as well as on the Tule Publishing website. See the article entitled Writing The Bestseller II, below, to find out more about the writing book.
I'm working on a second Christmas novella which will be released in November. Stay tuned for more information about both of my new releases.
Writing these Christmas novellas has sparked my imagination and given me renewed inspiration for writing. There is nothing like an uplifting holiday story to stoke the fires of creativity.
I'll be making handmade greeting cards for the holidays this year and I'm looking forward to getting started on them. But I have to say I'm truly excited about several new writing projects I have planned for the new year.
I appreciate all of you who are traveling down this new, less-traveled writing road I'm on. I can't wait to share new writing projects with you.
          Stay tuned.

 Until next time....
keep on readin
