Come join us for an acroyoga journey. Learn new skills you never thought you could do in a supportive and exciting environment. Learn to spin, flip and fly, while being lifted by – or lifting another yogi. You’ll be amazed by what you can do! Acroyoga requires no super human strength or flexibility, just a great attitude and willingness to learn. No experience needed but a background in yoga, movement, dance etc will be helpful! No partner required to attend.

|Donations Class to support Peace Fellow in Bosnia|
|Saturday, 5/9 • 6:00 - 7:00 pm with Rob Patzig|
|Sarah, one of our IBY yoginis, will be spending ten weeks this summer in Bosnia as a Peace Fellow to support the grassroots women's organization, BOSFAM. Many of BOSFAM’s members are genocide survivors, having lost many friends and family members. BOSFAM seeks to create an environment where women from different ethnic groups can come to a safe space, weave, drink coffee, and talk about their experiences. Sarah will be working on a business plan for the organization to help these women support themselves financially, hosting exhibitions of the beautiful tapestries they make, and accompanying them to Srebrenica for the 20th anniversary of the massacre in which 8,000 Bosnian Muslims lost their lives. While Sarah receives a modest stipend, she still needs to raise money for travel and living expenses as she will be working for BOSFAM essentially unpaid. Please come to this special In Balance class to help support her work for peace and reconciliation in Bosnia. |Gentle Therapeutic Pool Yoga with Laura and Nicole|

Saturday, July 25th Southwest Virginia native Ashley Bell will visit Blacksburg to share modern tellings of the ancient myths behind a few of yoga's most inspiring arm balances. You'll be amply prepared to approach these intricate shapes by way of a playful and rhythmic Lotus Inspired Flow sequence, influenced by Ashley's 200-hours of advanced training at Laughing Lotus NYC. Ashley has been teaching yoga for nearly a dozen years in Charleston, South Carolina, where she is known and loved for her ability to bring meaning to the movement practice and introduce complex postures in approachable and light-hearted ways.

We want to take this time to thank the following teachers for all of their energy at In Balance Yoga as they transition to new opportunities:
Courtney Barr will be focusing her energy on Downey Dog Yoga in Radford. Her last regular scheduled class at IBY will be end of May.
Emily Glasson will be relocating to Richmond, VA for Physical Therapy School. Her last day with IBY will be June 9th.
Sophie Swan is graduating from VT this month and leaving town. Her last day with IBY will be May 14th.
Nicole Capella is also graduating from VT this month and is starting her life in the career world working full time. Hope to have Nicole teach again once life in the working world settles.
Laura Prussin is relocating to my old stomping ground - Utah - end of summer. Can't wait to visit you in Park City! : ) Laura's last day with IBY will be late summer.
