Business Expo to showcase 100+ businesses
The 2016 Regional Chamber Business Expo will feature products and services from 100+ local businesses and organizations.
 
This year's Expo takes place August 10th from 1-5 p.m. at the WNC Ag Center in partnership with the Henderson County and Brevard/Transylvania Chambers of Commerce. Regional networking event to follow from 5-7 p.m.
 
You'll make valuable business connections and learn about available B2B services. 
 
Free admission to public; limited vendor booths are available to Chamber members.
 
2016 Expo Details
2016-2017 Board of Directors announced
As of July 1st, the Asheville Chamber enters a new fiscal year with Tracy Buchanan as the 2016-2017 Board Chair. Marcus Cox of Bank of America, Emi Kubota of i play., Inc., Jeremy Littlejohn, RISC Networks, LLC, and Austin Walker of Whitney Commercial Real Estate were elected to the Board of Directors. O.E. Starnes, IV of Wells Fargo Advisors and joins the Board as the ex-officio member representing Young Professionals of Asheville.
 
"It really is an honor and privilege to lead a great group of business leaders in our community," Tracy Buchanan said. "I feel inspired to hear the ideas and energy around improving the business environment in Asheville."

Avl Chamber staff selected for national cohort on workforce development
Asheville Chamber staff member Tim Lampkin has been selected by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) to participate in the third cohort of the Fellowship for Education Attainment along with about 20 other chamber professionals from across the country.
 
Tim is the Director of Business Retention and Expansion for the Economic Development Coalition of Asheville-Buncombe. The Fellowship serves to advance a participating chamber’s already defined education attainment goals. Fellows participate in an immersive education and workforce development experience that includes best practice sharing, reviews of case studies, interaction with and learning from national experts, and the opportunity to build a strong peer-to-peer network.
