As I write this Friday morning just hours after the announcement of which acts are going on to the semi-final round, I first want to say that Northwest Arkansas was well represented in the quarter-final competition this year. Ozark Blues Society is proud and our supporters should be as well. The unfortunate news is that as wonderful and well received as our acts were they did not advance to the semi-final competition. The real truth is that every act at IBC is a winner. Our quote this week from last year's winner, Eddie Cotton, pretty much nails it. It is most definitely a challenge to win.
