Blues News You Can Use!
The Miles Keep Getting Fewer And Fewer...
...on the road to Memphis.  If you are not one of us who will be packing bags and hitting Beale Street in just over a week why don't you come out and celebrate with us before we leave?  There are several more things to be accomplished here in Northwest Arkansas before our local challengers hit the road for Memphis!  With the final two fundraising concerts the next two Saturdays and ongoing GoFundMe opportunities for both Divas On Fire and Jimmy Wayne Garrett, you still have time to be a part of the adventire! Check out the news below for details on all these events. Of course a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has already stepped up to help support these worthy musicians as they work to prepare for the IBC in Memphis.

Also of note, if you are not a member or if you missed the announcement of the Ozark Blues Society annual meeting and elections, check out the message from Bill Baird below.

As we launch into 2016 I would like to once more to ask artists and readers to please link me up to events you have or know about, especially if the events aren't posted to the local calendars. And of course if you have ideas or comments on this newsletter, you know the deal, e-mail me anytime at smccann7@sbcglobal.net

Help Support
Blues in the Schools Through

Jimmy Wayne Garrett
Not Too Far From Mississippi CD Project

An ANNOUNCEMENT was made last week by Jimmy Wayne Garrett that all profits from ONLINE SALES of his new CD will be donated to Blues In The Schools.  Jimmy is an avid supporter and regular performer for Ozark Blues Society's educational outreach. Please support his endeavors through his GoFundMe account or through the purchase of a copy of his new CD.  Email Jimmy at gypsymagik3@gmail.com for more information.
As an artist who has been to the International Blues Challenge, Jimmy Wayne Garrett knows that there is much more to the experience than just being in the competition. Jimmy knows that having a CD of your work to share with promoters and to sell to new fans is a BIG benefit. Jimmy will be participating in the January 23rd Road to Memphis Fundraiser, however funds raised that night will be used by Ozark Blues Society to pay lodging costs for Jimmy in Memphis.  So, let's step up and show Jimmy some love by helping support his fundraising efforts that are needed to produce his CD. Check out the link below to share your support.
