You are Invited to Rejuvenate Your Creativity in the Magic of Taos

It is my pleasure to invite you to join me in a winter retreat in enchanting Taos, New Mexico Friday - Monday, February 5-8, 2016 to discover new ways to access your creative voice and make it a greater part of your life. Both men and women are invited.

There is something about a cozy winter day, surrounded by the majesty of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, snow falling outside and a fire crackling inside, high on the intoxication of being not only in Taos, but being at the Mabel Dodge Luhan house. Or maybe it's those five-star three-course meals Mabel's is famous for that inspire you to invest in a little pampering.

For some reason, when a tribe of like-minded people get together at Mabel's[1] , the creative juju is turned up high. It could be because the energy of Georgia O'Keefe, D.H. Lawrence, Ansel Adams, Dennis Hopper, Martha Graham, and many more creative greats who have stayed there, is still lurking in the architecture. It's a great way to start 2016.
[1] The Mabel Dodge Luhan house was a home of artist Mabel Dodge Luhan and was a haven for artists and writers. "It is one of the earliest examples of Pueblo Revival style in Taos" and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1991. Each of the rooms is uniquely decorated and named after one of the artists, photographers, or writers who stayed there.

What's the Cost Include?
Rates include:
  • 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches and a 3 gourmet dinners (all three-courses catered by Taos' finest chefs) in the Mabel Lodge Dining Hall.
  • Lodging in one of Mabel's historic rooms (unless you choose the commuter price).
  • Writing, art, craft and optional improv workshops Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  • Yoga: Saturday and Sunday morning
  • Private Sunday night Concert with another encore performance from local singer/songwriters, Kate Mann and Mark Dudrow
  • What a deal! I'm keeping the price as low as I can so you can make it, but see it as an investment in your creativity, connections, and being alive!
There will be plenty of time to wander into town to immerse yourself in the magic of Taos or even slip up to Ski Valley Sunday afternoon if you'd like to skip the optional art-shop.

Thank you! Plus the FOOD - yum!!" ~Jane
