SPIRITUALIST HEALING SERVICE
REIKI: LOST IN TRANSLATION

 Dear Members and Friends;
We will be holding a Healing Service on Sunday, July 12th at 6pm, co-conducted by Rev. Seiko L. Obayashi, Rev. Marion Hedger and Rev. Susan West with a group of our wonderful energy healers.
At this service, Rev. Seiko Obayashi will present an inspirational talk, “Reiki: Lost in Translation.”
Reiki has become one of the most well-known, energy-healing modalities in the world. However, Reiki as introduced to the West by Mrs. Takata is not quite the same as the Reiki handed down from Mikao Usui to his students. Have we been taught a modified version? Is there anything students in the West are missing out on? Perhaps the most valuable lessons are expressed via nuances that non-Japanese people cannot be expected to know. In this new series of talks by Rev. Seiko Obayashi, we will explore many aspects of Reiki, particularly the subtle yet essential underpinning of Reiki teaching that is deeply rooted in Japanese culture.
Unique to this service is the CHAIR HEALINGS that are given during the meditation.
Chairs will be arranged in the front of the church pews, near the platform. Our Certified Healers will be called upon to stand behind the chairs to prepare themselves to channel healing light. The congregation will be encouraged to come up front to sit in the chairs to receive a personal healing, while the whole church is in a healing frame of mind. Gentle music will be playing in the background. You may select any healer that your intuition draws you to, in order to receive your healing.
This will all be explained during the Healing Services. Remember, healing is not just physical; it is spiritual, psychological, situational, and may deal with love, finances, family and others who can benefit from the energy we manifest.
The Healing Service is one of the most beautiful services held by the Spiritualist Church. This service will include an address on a myriad of holistic and spiritual topics. It will include a guided meditation, which will generate healing energy for those present. We will also send healing to those unable to attend the service.
Remove yourself from the chaos of the city for the evening, and immerse yourself in the healing energy that you will co-create with our lightworkers: the congregation, healers, mediums, ministers, masters, teachers and friends in this Physical Realm and in the Spirit Realm. You will be amazed at what you are capable of, and what we can achieve as a group when we resonate with one intention.
